Food Processors with Juicer Attachments: Citrus Presses, Extractors and What Is Included

A full-size food processor and compact electric chopper with closed empty bowls.

A food processor described as having a juicer may include a citrus press, a juice-extraction kit or an optional accessory shown beside the base. These are different arrangements. Start with the fruit or vegetables you want to use, then identify the actual attachment and its compatibility requirements.

Distinguish the type of juicing

A citrus press is intended for citrus fruit using its specified preparation method. An extraction kit uses a different arrangement to separate juice or process other supported ingredients. A blender attachment that makes a drink is another configuration again; it does not automatically remove pulp in the same way.

Write a short produce list before comparing equipment. If the recurring job is squeezing a few oranges, a large extraction kit may create unnecessary setup. If you want to process vegetables, a citrus cone does not satisfy that requirement just because the bundle includes the word juicer.

Check a real parts list

Magimix’s 5200XL reference 18583 listing includes a citrus press. Its Extra Press XL kit, reference 17555 is a separate product with a juice filter and an explicit model-reference compatibility list. These examples show why included and optional equipment need separate columns in a comparison.

Use the complete reference from the machine’s label. Even within a named range, the official compatible model list is stronger evidence than a seller’s general fits-Magimix wording. Confirm that all required lids, supports and filters are present if buying an accessory separately.

Desired job Attachment to investigate What to verify
Citrus juice Compatible citrus press. Fruit preparation, cone and collection arrangement.
Juice from supported firm produce Appropriate extraction system. Filter, feed preparation and ingredient restrictions.
Other supported purées or drinks The exact kit or blender configuration. Whether the manufacturer describes that particular task.
An occasional squeeze for a recipe Simple manual citrus equipment may suffice. Whether a motorised attachment removes meaningful work.

Read the preparation instructions for the produce

A wide feed tube does not eliminate every peeling, stone-removal or cutting requirement. Follow the attachment’s ingredient guide and use the supplied pusher as directed. Do not transfer instructions from a different juicer simply because both handle apples or carrots.

If your desired ingredient is absent from the permitted list, ask the manufacturer rather than treating the omission as approval. Hard stones, fibrous material and soft mixtures can place different demands on an extraction arrangement. The specific tool and food combination matters.

Consider collection and clearing during a batch

Identify where juice and retained material go, and when the manual requires the system to be emptied. A shared motor base does not mean uninterrupted processing of an unlimited produce pile. Plan a suitable collecting vessel and keep the worktop arrangement stable.

For a regular morning drink, count the steps from taking the attachment out to putting it away. If you would make only a small amount, preparation and cleaning may dominate the routine. A larger occasional batch has a different balance of work.

Inspect the cleaning requirements

A filter can need more attention than a smooth processor bowl. Read how the filter, lid and other components may be cleaned and whether a particular brush is supplied or recommended. Handle sharp or delicate parts through the designated grips and methods.

Do not assume every component can be immersed because the main bowl is dishwasher-safe. Dry and store the kit so that filters and seals are protected from heavier utensils. If a part is damaged, locate the official replacement for the exact reference rather than choosing an approximate mesh or lid.

Choose between an attachment and another appliance

An attachment is worth considering when you already own a compatible base and the supported juicing task recurs often. A standalone juicer may make more sense if juicing is frequent and switching the processor between several jobs is inconvenient.

Compare the complete setup, without claims about superior nutrition or juice yield unless backed by an appropriate test. Our juicer guide offers another equipment route to assess once you know which produce and preparation routine matter.
